Happy Friday, babes! So I just got my hair done at Pure Joy Salon & Spa for the first time and had such a great time that I had to blog about it. Ok, first, can we just talk about how prophetic the name of the salon is? And it doesn’t stop there… My hair dresser’s name is GRACE! Who is, by far, the most amazing stylist I’ve ever had the pleasure of sitting with! She was SO sweet, great at communicating, and created just an overall enjoyable experience – from curling my hair to telling me how to pose for the after photos! She is simply all the vibes and is going to be the next Chrissy for all the STL girls!

Let’s just say that I have been on the hunt to find a forever stylist, practically my whole life! Growing up, I had a few traumatizing haircuts, so I’d always end up cutting my own hair. My husband jokes saying people don’t need to cut my hair because I’m so picky. Don’t get me wrong, I have come across some good stylists, but most times, it’d be a run of the mill experience, they’d move away, or they’d graduate hair school and I wouldnt know where to find them. Did anyone else go to National Hair Academy for those $30 highlights and $10 cuts? Lol

When you decide to go to Pure Joy Salon & SPA (which I can’t recommend enough), ask for Grace and tell her Talitha referred you! You will get $10 off your first cut and give me $10 off my next! Haircuts are $43, but my referral will bring it down to $33 – this includes: wash + cut + style! Also, you can get $20 off your first color (the total will vary depending on what you want to get done).

To book your first appointment, just text/call Grace at (636) 893-5213. You can also DM her on her Instagram @gracemarkscosmo and tell her Talitha sent you 🫶

What we did to my hair

  • Healthy trim
  • Face framing
  • Long layers (I asked for more pointed and blended)
  • A v-cut shape in the back
  • Finished with a blow dry + curls

Pro tip: I always do a fresh shower right before going into the salon + use my own hair products. You could also B.Y.O.P. (bring your own products lol) and your stylist will use them there.

Color reference: Rich chocolate with sunkissed highlights (described by my stylist) — I started my hair care journey in 2018, and I haven’t processed my locks since. I simply just focus on taking care of what the good Lord has given me. Gives me less thing to worry about + saves me time & money.

If you guys have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below or send me an email at [email protected] so I can help! Hope everyone has a great weekend! As always, stay chic. 🤍
