So my husband and I didn’t do a big fancy wedding or have a honeymoon or anything traditional like that. It’s not that we didn’t want to, but it’s just SO darn expensive! We didn’t need all that to get married anyway. I do wish I had a fairytale story to share with you. I’d say our story is more like all the T-Swift songs combined. 🤪 Lol, although we’ve had our ups, downs, “…screamin and fightin’ and kissin’ in the rains…” Haha, we never gave up on each other. The simplicity in any love story is that you LOVE. And that is what’s carried us this far. 💕

One day, we plan to renew our vows, have our dream wedding, and may or may not go on a honeymoon (I think its safe to say after 8 years we might be a little past that). This may come as a suprise, or maybe not at this point, but we’ve also never gone on a trip together. Needless to say, we thought it was time to change that. So, for our anniversary, we decided we were going to pack our bags, get lost in the mountains, lock the doors, and throw away the key, LBS! And we’re so glad we did! 🥰😶‍🌫️

We ended up finding ourselves in a cozy little cabin in Gatlinburg. A little woodsy, a little mountainy, for a better lack of words, lol. And it was everything we could ask for! Charming, secluded, I couldn’t get over how it smelled like apples (my favorite scent). And the hot tub gave it the perfect romantic touch.

This was our first trip together and also our first time ever going to Gatlinburg. If you’ve been to Gatlinburg and have any recommendations to add, please feel free to leave them in the comments below! It’s great to get to share with others! Hope everyone has a wonderful week! ♡
