THINGS TO DO

The first time the kids got to see the ocean! Definitely recommend parking at Venice Beach and travelling the board walk to SMP. The pier is so colorful and fun! We found an artist who creatively painted people’s names. Naturally, we got a couple done for the kiddos. It was very satisfying and peaceful to watch. 🎡🌊

Walking the Hollywood Walk of Fame felt surreal, surrounded by the stars of legends! Go here and get a pic with your favorite ones! ⭐️ We got coffee, shopped, and people watched mostly, lol.

There’s an undeniable magic in this wall’s simplicity—a dreamy blend of boldness and charm that pulls you in. It’s more than just pink; it’s an iconic moment waiting to be captured. 💖✨

Rent some wheels and hit the boardwalk! We grabbed motor tri-scooters and raced like kids—it was nonstop laughter and pure joy. One of those moments where time just pauses, and all you can do is soak it in. Definitely a favorite from this trip! 🤩

EATS

The truffle cheese wheel is a MUST, my brother-in-law gets it every time. Yes, Bay got the Justin Bieber pasta, lol. I really enjoyed what I got, but can’t pronounce it…and the ravioli. 🍝🍷🤌

Come here for the aesthetic alone! Bay and I shared some strawberry pancakes. 🍓 Next time, I want to try their egg benedict! (Both were recommended)

We made reservations here, and it did not disappoint! The rainbow roll was hands down the freshest sushi I’ve ever had. Baylee couldn’t resist ordering a California roll… in California, of course, lol. The orange chicken and fried shrimp were also big hits with everyone!

Tried my first halo halo here. Everything tasted super fresh! I especially liked the ube ice cream. Jake’s favorite was the watermelon juice (without the added mint 🍃).

OTHER RECS: Greystone Mansion & Gardens, Malibu Beach, Cara, Catch LA, Bottega Louie, ROE, The Ivy, Polo Lounge, SUR

LA was everything we hoped for and more—a perfect mix of iconic moments and unexpected fun. From dreamy cuisines, soaking in the classic Hollywood glamour, and window shopping on Rodeo Drive, (a little slice of luxury heaven), dreaming big as I wandered past the designer storefronts. This travel diary is a love letter to the City of Angels and all the incredible memories it holds.
