Fun fact, I used to travel a lot when I was a kid for taekwondo tournaments. I’ve been to my fair share of places and always saw myself moving to the coast.
This is the first time I’ve ever been to Wyoming and Montana, though, same for my family. We drove from Colorado, to the west side of Wyoming, and headed North from there towards Montana (to visit Yellowstone Park).

En route, we ate at this super cute Italian restaurant called Bella’s Bistro. They had the BEST bread (so fresh and buttery), and the service was great! They had patio seating, too (my favorite), but it was so packed that our only option was to sit inside.
After dinner, we stayed at this cozy inn, The Inn at Lander, Travelodge. They gave us a complimentary breakfast and coffee at the restaurant next door.

In the morning we drove from our hotel and headed straight to Yellowstone! We originally planned to enter through the East entrance (to save $$), but the road was closed off due to some forest fires. 😢
This left us having to enter through the South entrance, which took us through Grand Teton National Park! This ended up being a very pleasant change of events. Grand Teton was gorgeous!
Everything was so, SO incredible, from the mountains to the hot springs! I HIGHLY recommend taking photos at the Grand Prismatic and stopping to watch Old Faithful spring from the ground. 🌋
I also recommend Brown Eyed Flower Child’s blog post on her Yellowstone itinerary. I absolutely loved it and plan to use her references in the future!

Jake thought it was a good idea to wait until we left Yellowstone to let us all know that we had been standing on top of one of the world’s largest volcanoes, the whole time?! 😱 No wonder I never see anyone post photos from there, lol.

Everyone agreed that this was one of our favorite spots we’ve been to so far! We’re even talking about going to Yellowstone again and making a whole weekend out of it – specifically on the West side, near Montana.

Thank you for following along on our trip with us! Can’t wait to see you all at the next stop, Cali! 💛
